Stroud District Local Plan: Policies Consultation

Between Wednesday 27th March and Wednesday 8th May there will be public consultation on the detailed policies that will be included in the draft Stroud District Local Plan.

The main consultation document is now available to view (see Related Documents, below).

Why We Are Consulting

The Council is producing a new Local Plan which will help shape future development within Stroud District until 2031. Previously the Council consulted on a preferred strategy for delivering growth and identified preferred strategic sites for future development. The Council is still considering these issues and will make a decision on these matters later in 2013.

The Council is now consulting on other planning policies and changes to the settlement boundaries, which will be included in the Local Plan. These policies will manage and direct development and ensure that future development is high quality and protects, conserves or enhances the environment.

Please use the Online Survey to give us you views about the draft policies and proposed settlement boundary changes. Although we will accept comments on paper response forms, the online survey will help us to save paper and save time. Thank you.
